Three Tier Slider Card

Seen these card on the net and thought they were great. There were a few different types out there, but decided to try this one & of course my new stamp set "Four Feathers" : D
Stamps: Four Feathers & Endless Wishes.
Colours: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Island Indigo & Basic Gray.
Tools: Four Feathers Framelits & The roof top of one of the house from- Holiday Homes.
Extras: Gold Button, Natural Chevron Ribbon, Linen Thread & All is Calm washi tape.

I left room on the middle tier for writing a message.

I also used the feather framelits to cut out some sticky notes to make a mask for sponging.
On this top tier I sponged inside the middle feather with Crumb Cake. On the 2nd tier I sponged outside the top feather.

I seen a card on pinterest by Krista Frattin that had the feathers stamped this way, so I couldn't resist trying this technique with the feathers myself.
It's like the rock & roll technique, but after inking up the stamp in the light colour you use a sponge dauber to add the darker colour around the edges. The good thing about this technique is you can be more precise with the dauber when adding the darker colour. You just need to play around to get the intensity right.

Stamps: Holiday Homes
Colours: (I think I've used too many too name...) Raspberry Ripple, Whisper White, Gumball Green, Smokey Slate, Pumpkin Pie, Summer Starfruit, Soft Sky, Marina Mist & Night of Navy.
Extras: Black Embossing Powder, Sponges & Aqua Painter.

I sponged each tier with a different shade of blue hoping it would look like day to night, night being top tier with Santa flying by the moon.

This one was for my friends son who loves The Tigers. It took a while to try and figure out how to make the tigers face, & I know there was a fantastic tiger card on stampinconnection, but it may have been done with a proper cutter.
Stamps: Gorgeous Grunge, Bitty Banners & Back to Basics Alphabet.
Colours: Basic Black, Hello Honey, Whisper White, Raspberry Ripple & Old Olive + Daffodil Delight Blendabilities.
Punches: Two Step Bird, Curly Label, old Butterfly, Elegant Butterfly & Owl Builder.
+ Crystal Effects on the eyes.

Father's Day Gifts

I'm a little bit slow to get these pictures up here, since father's Day was at the beginning of the month and now it's nearly the end of the month. Well I guess it has been busy lately...
Note pads & boxes of bullets (chocolate-licorice bullets that is).

I tried to make a few extra for the school Father's Day stall, but I forgot to take photos of them all.
Stamps: Amazing Birthday & Simply Stars.
Colours: Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Whisper White & Summer Starfruit.

Stamps: Amazing Birthday, Simply Stars, Gorgeous Grunge & Back to Basics Alphabet.
Colours: Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Whisper White & Summer Starfruit.
Punches: Sm Tag & Lg Tag.

Instead of giving our Dad's an actual card, we just wrote them a birthday message in the note pad.
They also got a box of yummy Chocolate - Licorice Bullets too...
This was an old instruction page I had drawn up for a workshop quite a while ago, so I apologize for the roughness & lack of details. If I demonstrate the project first, I give this type of instruction page to help everybody remember the measurements.

Holiday Homes

This was the card I made for our local demonstrator swap. I don't know who to give credit to after seeing so many fantastic silhouette house cards on stampinconnection. Whoever thought of the idea is brilliant, & I just loved it. So this is how I made my version of the night before Christmas...
Stamps: Holiday Homes & Good Greetings.
Colours: Night of Navy, Whisper White Memento Tuxedo Black & Daffodil Delight.
Extras: Holiday Homes Framelits, Blendabilities, Clear Embossing Powder, Brayer, 1"Circle Punch, Masking  & Sponging

Stamps: Holiday Homes & Good Greetings.
Colours:  Basic Black, Memento Tuxedo Black, Night of Navy, Whisper White & Daffodil Delight.
Extras: Holiday Homes Framelits, Blendabilities, Clear Embossing Powder, Brayer, 1"Circle Punch, Masking  & Sponging

Black on Black, or Clear on black, either way embossing powder shows up enough to see where the windows are to cut them out, and stays dark enough for the silhouette look.

I may have actually used black embossing powder on this one as I was experimenting,  but I did use clear on the swaps that I made.
First I stamped the houses on Whisper White card stock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
I also used Versa Mark & Clear Embossing Powder to stamp "Ho! Ho! Ho!" in the top corner of the card stock.
Then I made masks by cut out sticky notes with the framelits, though I did trim the roof top a little bit extra otherwise you end up with a white out line around the house. I also punch a 1" Circle out of sticky notes to mask the moon.

Then I used the brayer to gradually add Night of Navy ink for the sky.
I did this by rolling the excess ink off onto my scrap paper (as you can see the mess), then kept the brayer moving in the same direction (horizontal on the card), but gradually working my way down from top to bottom. This way the ink has start to wear off the brayer by the time you get to the bottom.

Next I used a sponge to add some Daffodil Delight ink (in soft circular motions) to create the glow from the lamp.
Again with the sponges added  more Night of Navy ink wherever I felt like it needed to be darker.

I stamped the trees, lamp post & Santa with Night of Navy ink.

I used the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities to colour-in some windows & the lights in the lamp post.

Stamp the houses in Versa Mark & emboss with clear powder, then cut out with framelits.

Using a craft knife I cut out all the windows on the framelit-cut-out-houses to match the windows i had coloured yellow.

Attach Houses to background card stock.

Layer up with more Whisper White & Night of Navy Card stock.

This one I had added Crystal Effects to the lights on the lamp post & to all the windows with lights on.

Flower Pot Cards

These Flower Pot Cards have been around for quite a while. They're fairly easy to do & can be adjusted in size if need be. I've added a template at the bottom of the page with the measurements that I prefer.
I made the blue one first then, had to make another one for a workshop using current products (& that would be so time consuming). I ended up doing the one in the middle for the workshop.

Perfect Peacock & Blendabilities

I had seen something on pinterest that made me want to try this, although blendabilties on dsp isn't ideal, I'm still glad I gave it a go. This card did get a mixed reaction from the people who seen it.
Colours: Coastal Cabana, Daffodil, Delight Old Olive & Pumpkin Pie
Colours: Coastal Cabana, Daffodil, Delight Old Olive & Cherry Cobbler. + Dazzling Diamonds.

Colours: Coastal Cabana, Daffodil  Delight & Old Olive. + Gold Glitter

Colours: Coastal Cabana, Daffodil, Delight Old Olive, Night of Navy & Wisteria Wonder.  + Dazzling Diamonds.

I guess I was think along the lines of albino peacocks when I did this one, not to mention the vase full of beige coloured peacock feathers on the counter of a shop I had been in recently (which kept playing on my mind till I had got it on paper). I was going to water colour this image because I had stamped it onto Sahara Sand  card stock instead of Whisper White, but then I realized I had stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, which of course will bleed with watercolouring (you can see my little experiment with the butterfly in the bottom right hand corner - the natural is Blendabilities & the blue is water colour).
Colours: Blush, Natural, Nude & Ivory. + White gel & Chalk Pens.

The red phoenix version. I was hoping for a bit of flame effect in the tail, I don't think I quite got there, but the gold glitter looks great in real life.

Pop-up Cake Card

I had a couple of birthday cards to make for people who both like purple & one bakes fabulous cakes.
So of course I had to do the pop-up layered cake card, which works best with dsp (patterned paper), the only purple dsp I had was the old retired Flirtatious Specialty.
So here are the results.

Stamps: Cupcake Party
Punch: Cupcake Builder
Framlits: Chalk Talk
Colours: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Egplant & Blackberry Bliss.
Close up of cupcake on card front.
I've rock 'n' rolled the bottom of the cupcake, or patty pan if you like.

Inside the card - Three tier cake pop-up
Punch: Scallop Border
Extra: Dazzling Diamonds

The other card turned out a bit more simple (no pop-up inside this card)
Stamps: Cupcake Party
Punch: Cupcake Builder , 1 1/4" Circle, 1 3/8" Circle & Scallop Circle.
Embossing Folder: Decorative Dots.
Colours: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Egplant & Real Red
