Scallop Circle Denim Pouch

Supplies: Scallop Circle Die, Stamp-a-Majig, Bleach, Crop-a-Dile, Eyelets, Ribbon & Stamps (Baroque Motifs), Denim (Fabric), & Sewing Machine (unless you don't mind hand sewing)

 Sew two denim scallop circles together

Using a stamp-a-majig choose where to place your image

Keep stamp-a-majig guide in place, stamp image with bleach, repeat this step several times

Using a heat tool helps speed up the bleaching process, (if the image is too faint, repeat the previous step)

Use a crop-a-dile to punch holes in pouch (you can punch through both layers at the same time) I started with the outsides and worked my way in (trying to keep them even).

Add eyelets to the holes using crop-a-dile

Add eyelets to both sides separately

Thread a ribbon through the eyelets & tie togther

Fill pouch with something nice & it's ready to hang

This would be nice filled with lavender and hung in the wardrobe, or given as a gift.
I would love to see what else could be done with this project, as I've had the idea floating around in my head for a little while and just decided it had to be done.

More Inspiration - Shadow Stamping with Pastels

Again I found the same "Big W" catalogue has provided me with some more inpiration, and again it's from the linen section. Thanks Big W.

Two Tone Blue Swirls & Shadows

It dosen't have to be the same, it just has to plant the seed of an idea.

What you do with the ideas you get is up to you.

Each project here is from the same piece of inspiration, yet each is a bit different (that might be because I struggle to do exactally the same thing again and again).

Basic supplies: Card stock & matching ink, White craft ink, Stamp-a-majig, Pastels, Sponge daubers & Hairspray.

Stamp image with Sahara Sand ink on Sahara Sand card stock

It's probably best to do all of the shadow stamping first

Use the Stamp-a-Majig to stighly off set the image (if it's too far off, it will just look messy)

Stamp the off-set image in whisper white craft ink

Its best to do one at a time so ink dosen't dry out or smudge

Start with the lightest colour pastel (Tempting Turquoise), dabbing in a tapping motion, don't rub sideways.

Then add the darker colour pastel (Pacific Point)

When you've finished adding the pastels to all the images, use the eraser to remove any excess

Once you've tidied up around the images you can seal it with a craft spray, or Hair spray

Allow to dry ( I held mine over the heater for a moment ) & decorate 

First sponge the edges of Tempting Turquoise card stock with Pacific Point ink

Run it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder

Add a bit of White Frost Shimmer Paint

Use stick strip to adhere some ribbon (I use white taffeta ribbon & pulled a thread)

If you have your card stock cut to fit the width of the card (approx 4.2"), then you can try and get your scallops to land evenly on the edges

Stick all these pieces together. I also songed shimmer to the scalloped edges (then it reminded me of a wedding garter)

Punch a piece of Tempting Turquoise cardstock with the Fancy Flower punch & sponge edges with Pacific point ink

Spritz with white frost shimmer, then while still damp press into palm of hand using your thumb
(it's hard to do this and take a photo at the same time)
This is just to cup the flower and give the petals more shape, and of course I forgot to take a photo of the boho blossoms I punched in white card stock and sponged with pacific point. Then attach with a pretty brad to finish.

Inspiration

Card inspired by Big W catalogue

Inspiration can come from anywhere, and at anytime. I often find inspiration from catalogues, but other things, sometimes unexpected things can be inspirational too, (& I find it bugs until I do something about it ).
This one came from a "Big W" catalogue, so thanks Big W.
I just went with the black & white theme, and with something of stripes and circles (masked), to create a card from the inspiration this doona cover set had provided for me.
