Teachers gifts using Snowflake Soiree

When it comes to teachers gifts I like to keep the cost down, but I still like to give them something nice. That's why homemade gifts can be good, if you have the time and ideas.

I seen christmas bark (or peppermint bark if you like)  on pinterest and thought what a great idea, I can do that, I'll just have to make it look pretty, then I'll have some nice little teachers gifts. 

The Christmas Bark is just a layer of dark chocolate with a layer of white on top with crushed candy canes...mmm. Break up the Christmas Bark, put it into a cello bag with some nice ribbon & a pretty tag.

Remember to use good quality eating chocolate so that it will taste delicious. Cooking chocolate is more of a compound chocolate, and doesn't have the same eating quality.

I made each of the tags to match the cards. The tags are all punched with the small & large Tag punches, stamped with snowflakes from Snowflake Soiree and "Very Merry"from Short & Sweet.

Colours- Crumb Cake, Night of Navy & Very Vanilla.

Colours- Midnight Muse, Marina Mist & Whisper White.
The snowflakes are stamped with Versa Mark & embossed with Clear embossing powder.

Colours- Raspberry Ripple, Baja Breeze, Whisper White.
You can't tell in the photo, but this card has been spritzed with White Frost Shimmer Paint.
The "Merry Christmas" is from the Sassy Salutations stamp set.

Colours- Gumball Green & Whisper White. 

 The snowflakes have been stamped with Versa Mark & embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder.

 The rest were not part of the teachers gifts, but just the samples I've made with the Snowflake Soiree stamp set. I love it & wish I had gotten it sooner.

Halloween

I'm a little bit late getting these pictures up, but they're from our launch. My projects were Halloween, while Shari's projects were Christmas (which I haven't taken photo's of yet, but plan to).

Pam (Shari's mum) made up the water bottles, aren't they fantastic, all wrapped up like mummies.
I made the broom sticks (inspired from the stampin up catalogue), with a chocolate covered musk stick, there's only so much space inside those skinny cello bags.These were some of the goodies we handed out to out guests who attended.

The witches hat box was one of my make & take projects.

The other side of the witches hat box, using the Ribbon Sliders from the Holiday catalogue,  Spider Web Textured Embossing Folder, Wicked Cool, lg Scallop Circle die & Petal Cone Die.

This card was my other Halloween make & take project. I tried to keep it simple yet cram as many elements on it as I could, for a good taste of variety & some new products. 

I gave everyone the choice of colour, red (Cherry Cobbler) or green (Gumball Green), the red was the most popular.
All the elements on this card included; Textured Embossing with the spider web folder, cutting with the Labels Collection Framelits, Heat Embossing with black powder & the bats stamp, stamping with White Frost Shimmer Paint & the spider web stamp, Spritzing with Markers & the new Cherry Cobbler Tulle.

Tea Bags & Tea Tags

I wanted to give my friend a small token of kindness to brighten her day.... So what better way than with some delicious Vanilla Tea in a sweet little box (that's the same shape as the pyramid tea bags), & a matching card with a cute little poem inside.

Birthday party invitation. My kids birthday's are so close (two days apart), we decided to have a joined party for them this year. They wanted the invitations to be colourful, but the part I found tricky was making them suitable for both girls & boys. This was the one they chose to go with.

The kids made their own party bags as part of the activities. Here I am showing them how to make a box -in-a-bag.

While the kids were busy doing zumba, treats had been tucked into their party bags.

This was suppose to be an Angry Birds winter cake, & though it doesn't look much like snow on the cake, there are marshmallow snowmen. The big angry birds are store brought marshmallow pops, but I made the smaller red angry bird and the three green pigs from fondant icing, & chocolate finger biscuits over the pigs & around the sides of the cake.
