Blocks Card

I had recently made some Baby- Blocks Cards while working on baby projects for my cousin, then thought why not do the Blocks card for my next class, except that most people coming weren't interested in baby cards... So tried to change it a little and include the lovely Lotus Blossom & Irresistibly Yours dsp.

For more on the original Blocks cards check out papercrafter45 on pinterest.

Stamp Sets: Lotus Blossom & Kinda Eclectic
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White, Irresistibly Yours dsp & Adventure Bound dsp.
Ink: Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, Rich Razzleberry & Blackberry Bliss
Punches: Elegant Butterfly, Bitty Butterfly, Postage Stamp & 1 1/4" Square.
Ribbon: Blackberry Bliss, Natural Chevron & Linen Tread.

This is the other side of the card (it's almost exactly the same), one of the main differences are the lotus blossoms, it is stamped in full strength colour in the bottom picture & half strength in the top two pictures.
I love these colours on the lotus blossom; step 1. Blackberry Bliss, step 2. Rich Razzleberry, step 3. Blushing Bride.

Double Embossed Cards

One of my customers asked if we could do double embossed cards at a workshop, so of course I had to experiment to find one that would be suitable (not to complicated) & have a few samples to show them as well.
Everybody loves Coastal Cabana.
Stamps: Papillon Potpourri, Itty Bitty Banners & Six-Sided Sampler.
Textured Impressions Embossing Folders: Honeycomb & Designer Frames.
Colours: Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay Whisper White & Jet Black Stazon.
Punches: Elegant Butterfly & Bitty Butterfly.
Framelits: Itty Bitty Banners

Butterflies are watercoloured with a bit of Dazzling Diamonds added.
"Happy Birthday" banner is also watercoloured.

Same card as above with different colours; Summer Starfruit & Pear Pizzaz.
Sponged the outside edges of the whisper white with summer starfruit first, then embossed before adding pear pizzaz with the sponge lightly over the starfruit.

Same as above without the sponging for a crisp clean look (that was until the card was dropped onto an ink pad).
Textured Impressions Embossing Folders: Decorative Dots & Designer Frames.
Punches: Elegant Butterfly,  Bitty Butterfly & Scallop Trim Border.

Stamps; Perfectly Penned

Stamps: Petal Parade & Simply Sketched.
Textured Impressions Embossing Folders: Fancy Fan & Designer Frames.

Stamps: Simply Sketched.
Dsp: Sweet Sorbet

I watercoloured the bird with colours from the Sweet Sorbet dsp, not that I need to because I ended up using the piece with only two neutral colours in it anyway.

Textured Impressions Embossing Folders: Woodgrain & Designer Frames.
Stamps: Simply Sketched.

I stamped the bird on Sahara Sand card stock with black stazon ink, then coloured with white chalk pen.

Just thought I'd quickly add in a link to a tutorial for this technique, because I haven't had a chance to do one myself.

My Friends Wedding

Ok, I'm a little slow at getting things on here (the wedding was last summer : ). But at least I've finally managed to get these pictures up.
As I was a bridesmaid to my very dear friend, (whom I have know since primary school) it was put upon me to deal with the invitations, though she had input to the design and we had a team work effort with another of the bridesmaids to help produce all 60 invitations.
The invitation:
Closed with white satin ribbon. Embellished mini silver brads & rhinestone brad, on Tempting Turquoise Butterflies (Beautiful Wings Embosslits) spritzed with white frost shimmer.
Silver Embossed stamps from Baroque Motifs & Wedding Sweet, on white Vellum, mounted on Tempting Turquoise Card stock, mounted on Brushed Silver card stock, mounted on white card stock.
Side punched with Scallop Trim Border Punch.
Opened one side to reveal Bird Cage poem tucked into the pocket on the left.
Pocket is stamps with Baroque Motifs & embossed with Tempting Turquoise powder.
Silver embossed stamp cut out with Labels Collection Framelit on the right.
Opened on both sides, revealing R.S.V.P. in the pocket on the right.
Main information printed onto white card stock and attached to invitation with a mini silver brad.

Flipping the piece of white card stock up to reveal more information (about organised transport), printed onto Tempting Turquoise card stock.

This is the wedding card I made to give my friend on her big day.
I kept all the colours the same as the invitations to match (White, Vellum & Tempting Turquoise card stock) although I've used Silver Glimmer Paper instead of Brushed Silver here.
Stamps: Baroque Motifs, Perfectly Penned, Papillon Potpourri.
Embossing powders: Silver & Temping Turquoise.

The butterflies have embossed with Tempting Turquoise on white Vellum before being punched out with the Elegant Butterfly &...

the Bitty Butterfly.

I used pastels on the envelope to create a softer look.

Bonbonniere
My friend decided to go with the bag-a-lope as her bonbonniere.
All elements matching invitations of course.

Filling the bonbonnieres: With sugared almond of course.
We used Adorning Accents Edgelits to cut strips of blue & white tissue paper to help fill the bag-a-lope. We also dropped a few heart shaped chocolates wrapped in silver & blue foil with their names on them into the bag-a-lope.
Again this project had a team work effort to get it done.

Table centre pieces.
You always hope people appreciate the effort that goes into these projects when there are so many to make.
Packing the majority of the table dressings.
(I never got any decent pictures of the bridal table decorations).
