Z Fold Cards

The Z fold card (or tri-fold card) is quite simple to do. All you need is a piece of A4 carstock, trim the length down to 11 1/4", then measure about 7cm or 2 3/4" up the short side, mark it and cut diagonally from that point to the opposite corner. Next you'll need to score it into thirds, so at 3 3/4" and 7 1/2", then fold in opposite directions and decorate.

Techniques: Masking & Sponging 

The Duet Banner Punch had a nice arch shape to create the rainbow, but it's not very long so the rainbow length is limited.

By placing two masks made from the duet banner punch roughly an 8th inch apart, gently sponge colours of the rainbow, one at a time moving the masks in between every colour change.

Flip Flap Fold Card "Sprinkles of Life"

 Another card I had made a while ago and only just getting around to posting it.
I hope I can remember everything I used to make these cards...
I'm not even sure if Flip Flap Fold in the right name for this card : )

The circle of card stock (with the candle stamped on it) is what holds the top flap in place. It's attached with dimensionals on the bottom half only.

I used an Aqua painter to go over the candle and spread the colour, after stamping with the markers.

I wanted the dsp ( patterned paper) to continue across the whole card, but I found that (with ribbon tucked around it &) going all the way to the edges made it a bit thick and stiff to fold open and closed.
