This card was made for a poker player's 50th birthday.
The gift is wrapped in the brown packing paper from our shipping boxes.
His favourite colour is orange which is why I used that (Tangerine tango) for the poker chips & the sentiment.
All supplies pictured below
Stamps: Balloon Builder, Blue Ribbon, Back to Basics & Yummy in my Tummy
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black and Tangerine Tango
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Memento Black & Versa Mark
Punches: Sweetheart, sm Heart, Tree Builder, Spiral boarder, sm Flag, Corner Rounder,
1 1/4" Circle, 1 3/8" Circle & 1 1/2 Circle
Extras: White Embossing Powder, Tangerine Tango Ribbon, Black Satin Ribbon & Black Bakers Twine
So even though the card looks quite simple... it still took a lot of supplies to make it.
That was probably due to the fact the I had to try and make the Ace of spades with punches and stamps.
This was the cake. I didn't bake it, I just decorated it. I kinda cheated with the wood though and just bought a wooden looking cake board...too easy.
The shapes on the back are only there to hide a couple of blunders (cracks in the fondant).
Poker chips and cards in the making.
I used a regular black liquid food dye to paint the card fronts-suits and a midnight blue dusting powder mixed with rose spirit to paint the back of the cards (on the deck).
